Adobe lands a hand to web designers who have to deal with a new technology wave and prepares new products aimed at easing their lives.
The company led by Bruce Chizen announced yesterday the first version of the Spry framework, which allows web designers to integrate AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) elements without advanced programming knowledge.
According to the Adobe Labs site, Spry is HTML-centric, and easy to implement for users with basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Adobe mentions that the available build is a preview version and that based on the feedback received from users, it will make the necessary changes.
"This [Spry] was built out of a need we identified in the marketplace," Jennifer Taylor, senior product manager for Adobe's Dreamweaver products, told Digit.
According to Digit, as Adobe talked to Web designers, the company found they were interested in AJAX but that many existing frameworks were more oriented to existing programming skills.
