The launch of Windows 8.1 Preview has apparently spawned a new wave of important software updates available in the Store, including IM+ and the Metro version of Adobe Reader.

The so-called Adobe Reader Touch now comes with several new features that allow Windows 8 adopters to add notes to their documents. In addition, they can now use highlight, strikeout, and underline in their texts, while the new “Go To Page” option is there to provide quicker navigation.

Another great improvement is the addition of “Save” and “Save As” functionality that gives users the option to save their documents after applying a series of changes.

Adobe Reader Touch works on both Windows 8 and Windows RT, as the latter is already powering lots of devices, including Microsoft’s own Surface RT.
