Owners of Windows Phone 8 devices can now enjoy a new, highly appealing application, namely the Adobe Reader from Adobe Systems, the company that invented the PDF.

Already available for download for all Windows Phone 8 devices, the application will provide users with the possibility to open PDF documents while on the go, while also offering support for password-protected files.

The app is available for download for free, the same as it was on Windows Phone 7.5, and packs features that desktop users already enjoy when using it, such as copy and paste, search in the text, and zoom on page.

“Adobe Reader is the free, trusted leader for reliably viewing and interacting with PDF documents across platforms and devices,” the application’s description reads.

“Install the free Adobe Reader mobile app to work with PDF documents on your Windows Phone devices. Easily access a wide variety of PDF types, including password-protected documents.”

The new mobile application also enables users to easily navigate through large documents with thumbnails, while also offering a read page-by-page option, in addition to a continuous scroll mode.

Not to mention that the Adobe Reader application for Windows Phone 8 comes with support for hyperlinks and bookmarks, so that users could easily jump straight to a specific webpage or to a section of a PDF doc.

The main features of the new Windows Phone app include:

- Quickly open PDF documents - View password-protected PDFs and sticky notes - Search text to find specific information - Easily zoom in on text or images for a closer view - Use bookmarks to jump directly to a section in your PDF document - Tap on links in a PDF to open linked web pages

The Adobe Reader app for Windows Phone 8, currently available for download as version 10.1.0.0 (only in English at the moment), can be found on Softpedia as well, via this link.
