Adobe released a priority 2 security update for Flash Player after discovering certain vulnerabilities that in theory could allow an attacker to take control of an affected system.

According to Adobe’s advisory, Flash Player 11.1.102.62 and earlier versions for all platforms, Adobe Flash Player 11.1.115.6 and earlier versions for Android 4.x, and Adobe Flash Player 11.1.111.6 and earlier versions for Android 3.x and 2.x are affected.

Windows, Mac, Linux and Solaris users are advised to update their products to Flash Player 11.1.102.63. Android 4.x customers are recommended to update to Flash Player 11.1.115.7, respectively Flash Player 11.1.111.7 for Android 3.x, 2.x users.

The vulnerabilities refer to a memory corruption issue in the Matrix3D, a problem that could lead to code execution, and a number of integer errors which could allow an attacker to gain access to sensitive information.

Priority 2 updates address vulnerabilities that have not been exploited, but which are present in products that are known to be exploited on previous occasions.

Flash Player 11.1.102.63 is available for download here.
