The first update for Adobe Premiere Pro has been released. Among the most important modifications it brings to the table, there is improved support for hardware acceleration using OpenCL (especially on Mac OSX v10.7.4 or later).

The update also introduces encoding presets with additional bit-rate settings for XDCAM HD and adds Automatic Peak File Generation preference in the Audio category. The latter is designed for turning off automatic peak file generation for imported audio.

Known bugs have also been eliminated in this revision. Crashes, such as the one when using full-screen, cinema mode or when capturing from tape using some BlackMagic hardware, should no longer occur.

On the same note, hanging or freezing of the suite when using a dissolve transition on an adjustment layer has been fixed.
