Adobe has just released a new version of Photoshop Express for Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 users, so everyone is now recommended to download and install it as soon as possible.

The new version is mostly supposed to fix bugs and resolve issues found in previous builds, which means that slight performance improvements should be noticed after deploying the update.

The feature lineup remains basically unchanged, which means that those who prefer to edit photos in the Modern UI of Windows 8.1 can now perform basic operations, such as crop, rotate, flip, and remove red eye, with just a few taps.

At the same time, Photoshop Express comes with an auto-fix option that includes one-touch adjustments for brightness, exposure, and shadows. Such a tool comes in handy especially for beginners who don’t have the necessary experience to play with more advanced options.

What’s more, the app continues to offer a collection of 15 different filters and effects, as well as slider controls for exposure, contrast, clarity, vibrance and more.

“On-the-go photo editing was never so fun, fast, and cool. Touch your way to better-looking pictures with automatic fixes and filters. Get your pictures to pop! And after sharing, you’ll be the talk of your friends,” the app description published in the Windows Store reads.

While Adobe Photoshop Express is offered free of charge to Windows 8.1 and Windows RT 8.1 users, the application also comes with some add-ons that are available for a small fee. Both the Looks Packs and the Noise Reduction Packs include options to further enhance your apps, bringing more one-touch filters on your Windows 8.1 device.

Of course, the app can be installed on both desktops and tablets, so download Adobe Photoshop Express right now, especially if you’ve already made the switch to the new Windows 8.1.
