Adobe has just introduced a brand-new version of Lightroom that comes with support for new cameras and lenses, but also with plenty of bug fixes that are improving performance and stability.

First and foremost, Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6 now supports Nikon D810 and two new Panasonic models, namely AG-GH4 and DMC-FZ1000.

As far as the new lenses that are supported by this version, the list is pretty impressive and includes plenty of Sony models, Canon, Nikon, and Pentax. All of them are available in the official changelog of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6 on Softpedia.

What’s more important for existing users of the application is the amount of bug fixes that this new version brings on Windows.

For example, Adobe has addressed an issue causing images with invalid GPS coordinates to not properly sync with Lightroom mobile, while also repairing an error making JPEG files exported from Lightroom to fail to open or be available to edit within Canon Digital Photo Professional application software.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6 comes with support for the new versions of Windows on the market, so you won’t be able to run it on Windows XP, for instance. Instead, Windows 7 and 8 users, no matter if they run the 32- or the 64-bit version of the operating systems, should be allowed to download and install it just fine.

Overall, this update is clearly good news for existing users of the app, so go ahead and download Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.6 right now to see what’s new.
