Adobe’s photo retouching tool, Photoshop Lightroom 4, has been released in the US Mac App Store with a $149.99 price tag. European customers are yet to be offered the tool via Apple’s digital distribution venue.
“Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 software helps you create amazing images that inspire, inform, and delight,” says the company responsible for the popular Flash Player.
“Perfect your shots with powerfully simple one-click adjustments and a full range of cutting-edge advanced controls. Craft elegant photo books, organize your images, and share them easily on social networks, in web galleries, and more—all with one fast, intuitive application,” reads Adobe’s description.
Some of the key features in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 include highlight and shadow recovery, photo book creation, superior image processing, the “nondestructive” environment offered by the software, selective editing brushes, advanced black-and-white conversion, extended video support, superior noise reduction, and one-click adjustments to a batch of images.
Lightroom 4 boasts tight integration with Photoshop, allowing users to select one or multiple photos and automatically open them in Adobe’s flagship photography software to perform pixel-level editing.
Lightroom has 64-bit support for the latest Mac OS version, which speeds up image processing.
Thanks to its enhanced online sharing integration, Lightroom 4 lets you easily post images to social media and photo sharing sites like Facebook and Flickr, as well as see online comments about your works, right within the app.
