The big news about Adobe today is that they’re killing off development of Flash for mobile. But Photoshop CS5 users would be more interested in the fact that the first release candidate for Camera Raw 6.6 has been rolled out.

Basically this means that the plug-in is very close to getting the approval for the final build. It comes with support for new cameras (Canon PowerShot S100, Nikon 1 J1, Nikon 1 V1, Panasonic Lumix DMC-GX1, Samsung NX5) and lens profiles; check this page for the full list.

Fixes present on the change list include the possibility to select a destination folder without running the risk of Adobe Photo Downloader to become unresponsive; color artifacts are no longer present in black and white conversions from images with red eye corrections. Moreover, tone curve panel no longer needs to be refreshed to see prior custom tone curve adjustments.
