Featuring the tagline “Take Lightroom anywhere,” Adobe this year plans to release an iPad-native version of the photo editing suite, according to a company representative.

Leaked briefly on Adobe’s web site, Lightroom for iPad will reportedly cost $99 (€73) per year.

The company quickly removed the “Lightroom for mobile” product page when 9to5mac contacted it with inquiries, but a representative was willing to confirm that Lightroom for Mobile “is built for iPad.”

According to the same report, “The representative further indicated that the mobile version would largely lineup with the desktop version in terms of features.”

Formally referred to as “Adobe Photoshop Lightroom,” the software is an asset management and image processing app currently available for OS X and Windows. Lightroom is mainly used for post-production work, as well as to manage large quantities of digital images.
