At this time, Adobe is one of the biggest software companies because it developed several worldwide programs with millions of customers. Recently, Adobe was affected by an impressive number of vulnerabilities able to permit the attackers to connect to a computer and take over the control. However, the company's employees are always working to fix them quickly, no important exploitations of the vulnerabilities being reported.

Take for example Adobe Bridge, an application powered by the parent company Adobe that is also involved in a security matter, containing a vulnerability confirmed by the officials. According to Secunia, the vulnerability can allow a user to receive greater privileges and control the computer. At this time, the affected version of the product is 1.0.3, the only solution being the update to the latest version of the program.

"The vulnerability is caused due to an unspecified error within the installation process when the 1.0.3 update is being installed by an administrator via a desktop management tool (e.g. Apple Remote Desktop). No further information is available," Secunia said in the security advisory.

Yesterday, another Adobe product was the subject of a Secunia security advisory, the company sustaining it contains a less critical vulnerability. According to the report, Adobe ColdFusion contains a flaw that can allow a user obtain higher privileges on an affected computer. The only affected version was 7.x.

"The security issue is caused due to the application having certain files and directories with insecure permissions i.e. world writable. This can be exploited to gain escalated privileges at the next server restart by replacing or editing the affected files," it was mentioned in the security advisory.
