Adobe has just released a new version of its Flash Player for Android, adding support for the latest flavor of the platform, Ice Cream Sandwich, currently available on the Galaxy Nexus from Samsung.

In addition to providing support for Android 4 smartphones, the new Flash Player iteration also includes a series of performance improvements, as well as fixes for security and stability issues that the previous releases had.

This might be one of the latest major releases of Flash Player, as Adobe announced a few months ago that it planned on discontinuing the development of the platform.

Of course, the company will still deliver various performance improvements for the software, since it is committed to offering support for users. The latest flavor of Adobe Flash Player is available via the Android Market.
