Adobe has just unveiled a brand new beta version of its Flash Player client runtime, implementing a series of fixes aimed at Chrome and Safari browsers.

According to Adobe’s official release notes provided to us this morning, Flash Player 11.9.900.100 Beta comes to fix a bug found in Chrome running on 64-bit workstations, while also bringing Safari 6.1 improvements.

Here’s what the developing team said about the changes aimed at Safari users:

“Safari 6.1 includes an updated version of Safari with Safe Mode, which implements new security restrictions on the operation of browser plug-ins. To the extent possible, we've adapted Flash Player to transparently handle these changes. A small number of behaviors will change in the context of Safe Mode and are explained in the Known Issues section below.”

As you probably know, Safari 6.1 is currently in private beta testing for a number of Mac OS X developers, so unless you’re participating to Apple’s program, this change doesn’t really concern you.
