Adobe today announced the availability of a new Dreamweaver update specifically designed for Windows 8, as adopters of Microsoft’s modern platform reported issues with the application.

According to a notification released by Adobe today, Dreamwaver update 13.2.1 for Windows 8 is specifically developed to allow users to launch the app on high resolution monitors.

The company says that on Windows 7, “there is no additional benefit from this update,” so you could actually ignore it completely unless you experienced some issues too.

“If you do not see the update listed in your Creative Cloud application, quit the application, and relaunch it,” Adobe recommends.

According to the official release notes published today, the new version addresses three different issues found in the previous builds: Dreamweaver UI is too small and cannot be used, UI elements do not appear in the intended location and some of the elements are not visible as they extended beyond the initial area.

Of course, all users running Windows 8 right now and experiencing issues with Dreamweaver are strongly recommended to download and install the update as soon as possible, as the new version is expected to fix most of the bugs that users reported in the previous builds.

Performance updates and stability improvements are missing from the package, but it’s still a good way to manage some of the annoying bugs that you came across recently.
