Adobe has announced that the latest addition to its Creative Suite family, CS6 is now available for purchase. If you've been waiting for the latest and greatest CS, the wait is over, as long as you've got the pockets to pay for the rather expensive suite, in any of its forms.

CS6 was officially announced a couple of weeks ago, but started shipping this Monday. The new subscription version, Creative Cloud, will be available starting May 11th.

"The CS6 product line includes powerful new releases of Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Flash Professional and other products as well as four suite versions – Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium; Creative Suite 6 Design Standard; Creative Suite 6 Production Premium; and Creative Suite 6 Master Collection," Adobe explained.

The cheapest collection, Design Standard comes with the essentials, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe X Pro, for $1,299, €993. If you need more tools, Design & Web Standard is $1,899, €1,451 and Production Premium, which is geared more towards media creatives, with audio and video tools, costs the same.

But the big full package, the Master Collection is $2,599, €1,986. All of the main tools are also available as separate products, if you only need a specific one.

With CS6, Adobe is introducing the Creative Cloud, a new way of paying for all of Adobe's creative tools. It's essentially a subscription option, you can have all of the tools in the Master Collection plus several more for $49.99, €38.20 per month, if you pay by the year, or $74.99, €57.31 per month if you pay monthly.

"A subscription-based offering, Adobe Creative Cloud is a hub for making, sharing and delivering creative work and it is centered around a powerful release of Adobe Creative Suite® 6 software, packed with innovation across its industry-defining design, Web, video and digital imaging tools," Adobe added.
