Adobe Systems Inc. has recently updated its Reader app for portable devices, including the iOS client for iPhone and Pad. Android users are already reaping the benefits of said update, while Apple customers are required to wait a tad longer, because of the App Store review process.

By far the biggest addition in the latest Reader update from Adobe, Cloud file storage is now accessible with Acrobat.com, enabling users to share documents between all of their devices and computers over Acrobat.com directly from within the portable app.

Users reading a document on their laptop can just save it to Acrobat.com and then open the same document on their phone or tablet on the go.

“And if you make comments on the document, we’ll automatically save it back to the cloud from your device, as well,” says Adobe.

Other enhancements include new interactivity for forms, better support for selecting and highlighting asian text, and more.

“We […] have an iOS version ready, but it is currently awaiting Apple’s App Review process. We will release it as soon as Apple approves it,” Adobe says.
