John Nack, Principal Product Manager, Adobe Photoshop, has announced that his company issued a new version of Photoshop Express for iOS, following complaints tied to the performance of the app.

Photoshop Express is a companion to Photoshop.com, the online photo sharing, editing, and hosting resource.

Recently updated to version 1.3, Photoshop Express allows customers to use simple gestures and quickly edit and share photos from their iPhone or iPad.

Usable effects include Vibrant, Pop, Border, Vignette Blur, Warm Vintage, Rainbow, Soft Black and White etc.

Although version 1,3 came with a lot of benefits, including full support for the iPad, the software also shipped with a few annoying bugs, one of which constantly crashed the app.

Now, version 1.3.1 of Adobe Photoshop Express can be found on Apple's App Store.

According to Adobe, the new release delivers “Bug fixes, including landscape launch bug on iPad.”

The update also incorporates all of the improvements added in version 1.3 (listed below).

• Initial support for iPad • New name: Adobe Photoshop Express • Updated UI • Bug fixes and performance improvements

New features that are specific to the Apple tablet include: support for portrait and landscape orientations, redesigned Online, Edit, and Upload workflows, the ability to work on multiple photos in sequence from within a single workflow, a redesigned Organizer view and more.

“The update went live yesterday, but it contained a couple of bugs for which it got justifiably dinged,” Adobe's John Nack states in a blog post dated August 14.

He links to a Gizmodo report which details the drawbacks.

“The bugs are now fixed," he reveals.

"Sorry that they got past the team initially. (Thanks, Apple, for pushing out the update quickly.)”, he adds.

Adobe's product manager also notes that “Plenty of cool additional enhancements are in the works,” and says that user feedback is welcome, as always.
