One of the latest software solutions set to come around for the users of a Mac OS X-based machine is Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1 from Adobe. On Tuesday, the company has announced that it plans on launching the new version of the software, and that it will also include support for Mac OS X in the new release.

“Adobe is excited to announce the development of Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1 (FMLE 3) for Mac OS. This has been, by far, the most requested "feature" since the release of FMLE. The Mac version will have all of the features of the Windows version of FMLE 3,” is what the software company states on its Flash Media Blog.

It seems that the new solution, which still hasn't received an official release date, will bring a series of features to Mac OS X users that include the ability to perform up to 3 simultaneous encodes, the possibility to save to a local file during the encoding process, an auto-adjust option (which “helps manage the stream quality to stay live under poor network conditions”), as well as support for H.264 and VP6 codecs.

“FMLE 3.1 for Mac will work with the built-in MAC iSight as well as devices such as Firewire cameras and video capture cards to support a broad range of use cases and workflows,” Adobe also stated. According to the company, the new 3.1 version of Flash Media Live Encoder will become available for Mac OS X users for free, like the Windows flavor of the software is.

Even if the release date for Flash Media Live Encoder 3.1 hasn't yet been announced, Adobe offers a private beta version of the software solution for those who are interested in participation. The company also made available a re-release interest form and those who would like to participate at the private beta for FMLE 3.1 should head here.
