Adobe has rolled out a new update for After Effects, announcing that the fresh patch delivers a number of critical fixes and adds new GPUs for CUDA-accelerated ray-traced 3D renderer.

The new graphics are GeForce GT 650M, which is used in newer MacBook Pros, GeForce GTX 670/690 (Windows).

Some of the bugs fixed in this update touch on global performance cache, which caused invalid image information to be read occasionally, because the cache was not invalidated.

Some of the problems affected RE:Vision Effects Twixtor and Trapcode Form plugins. If such issues are still giving you a hard time, it is recommended to delete the cache.

However, two issues still persist, one relating to font substitution and the other affecting the Liquify effect that retains incorrect cached details after using “undo” command.
