Adobe has just updated its AIR application for Android devices with support for Ice Cream Sandwich mobile platform. AIR Android 3.1.0.556 also includes several performance improvements and bug fixes.
However, there are no major features included in this release, instead Adobe only added some enhancements, Ice Cream Sandwich support, as well as bug fixes related to stability, performance and device compatibility.
According to Adobe, there are several known issues that have yet to be corrected in a future release of the application. It appears that the frame on Ice Cream Sandwich devices will not update when seeking while a video is paused.
In addition, the StageVideo using On2 and Sorenson does not work with Ice Cream Sandwich devices.
Adobe AIR 3.1.0.556 is now available as a free download via Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.2 and up.
