With a release date for the “Thor” sequel for August 2013, Marvel is quickly moving to get the whole thing completed ASAP and then off into post-production. A new villain has been found in Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.

Variety confirms the casting news.

The actor, who has made quite an impact in previous outings like “Oz,” “Lost,” “The Thing” and “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra,” will play the villain, second fiddle to the main baddie played by Christopher Eccleston.

“Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje has joined the cast of Marvel's 'Thor: The Dark World' as one of the lead villains, playing the dual roles of Algrim the Strong and Kurse,” Variety says.

The film is already shooting on location in London. Chris Hemsworth reprises his role as the (very handsome) God of Thunder, Thor.
