After last year's health scare, when she had to go under the knife for problems in her throat, Adele isn't taking chances anymore. She's quit smoking and is just getting started on a new, healthier diet, which will also help her lose weight.

Sources tell The Sun that the singer's main focus is on her health and not on her weight, just so fans know that she didn't have a change of heart about what she said in past interviews, that she's happy with her body and her curves.

The British tab says Adele has finally quit smoking, and is now on quite a health kick.

She's started eating better and getting more exercise, having taken up Pilates.

“Adele has found so much more energy now she's quit smoking. She really wants to get healthier, now that she's half-way there,” an unnamed insider claiming to be well in the know with the situation says for the tab.

“She had always been curious about taking up Pilates but until recently there just hadn't been any time,” adds the source.

That Adele is taking better care of herself was also evident at this year's Grammy awards, where she rocked a svelter figure, which fans picked up on immediately.

At the same time, the singer insists she's happy with the way she looks right now and, even if she had a choice, she would never trade her body for a size 0 girl.

“I’ve never seen magazine covers or music videos and been like ‘I need to look like that to be a success.’ I don’t want to be some skinny mini with my [breasts] out,” she told Anderson Cooper on 60 Minutes a while back, as we also informed you.

“I really don’t want to do it and I don’t want people confusing what it is that I’m about,” Adele added, stressing that she was just a singer and, as such, felt no need to comply with today's beauty standards for female singers.
