Adele hasn’t released any new studio albums for almost 3 years but she’s still raking in the big bucks thanks to her record-shattering “21” release. A new report claims that she made a fortune in royalties only in the past year.

“The 25-year-old raked in £30 million [$49.2 million / €36.07 million] last year as the royalties of her record-breaking release 21 continued to pour in,” the Daily Mail reports.

That’s not bad at all for an artist who took time off from showbiz because of health issues and then to dedicate herself to motherhood, spending time with her son and boyfriend. All in all, Adele has not performed in public or came out with new music in years.

She is now believed to be back in the studio working on new material but, in the meantime, she’s definitely living large off the incomparable success of “21.”

“It was a 65 per cent increase on the year before and meant she could pay herself a £12 million [$19.6 million / €14.3 million] windfall – even after paying over £5 million [$8.2 million / €6 million] in corporation tax. This means she now earns more than £32,000 [$52,486 / €38,482] a day,” the same report notes.
