After going under the knife for throat surgery, Adele emerged a much slimmer woman than she was before. She explained the weight loss as a direct consequence of going through recovery, but she doesn't want to stop her just yet.

For weeks now, there's been a lot of talk about how Adele has decided it was nigh time she overhauled her diet completely to live a healthier life.

The Daily Mail claims the Grammy-winning singer did more than that: she's now a strict vegetarian.

“The singer and her charity campaigner boyfriend Simon Konecki, 36, have each lost almost a stone [14 pounds / 6.35 kg] in the past month by following a strict vegetarian diet. The couple also go jogging with Adele’s dog Louie every morning,” the Mail writes.

The very strict regimen has already paid off: both Adele and her beau are losing weight and, more importantly, feel better than ever.

“The weight is dropping off them and they plan to keep dieting until the end of April. They are inseparable – they are losing weight together, getting fit together and planning a future together,” an insider is quoted as saying.

“Adele says she’s doing her best work and feels healthier than she has for months,” adds the same spy.

As we also reported a while back, Adele is believed to have finally kicked her destructive nicotine habit, which was what actually motivated her to change her diet as well.

Various media reports insist that she's not doing all this just so she can be thinner and fit the current ideal of “beauty.”

Adele herself has said repeatedly that she's more than happy with her body as curvy as it is, and that she has no plans to starve herself or work herself to death to lose weight because, as she so wonderfully put it, she makes “music for the ears, not the eyes.”
