Adele is a first-time mommy, spending her time out of the spotlight with her baby boy and her fiancé Simon Konecki. Admittedly, she’s so in love with her son that she actually forgot to register him, it has emerged.

Reports in the British media claim that Adele has failed to register her son within the 42-day legal limit, which means she’s liable to a fine, EntertainmentWise writes.

“With the singer hiding away with her family throughout her pregnancy and since the birth, we imagine she's simply enjoying lots of quality time with her little one. A source has confirmed that the singer has nothing to worry about though, despite her forgetfulness,” the publication writes.

Sources in the press claim neither she nor Simon made an appointment to register their bundle of joy.

“Cops are hardly going to be banging on their door tomorrow and it’s probably just an oversight on their part. Most parents register their baby within a couple of weeks because it’s a nice thing to do – and because there’s a maximum fine of £1,000 if they don’t,” an insider is quoted as saying.

“There’s loads of reasons why parents are late and millions of couples don’t bother for ages,” adds the spy.

However, the aforementioned publication says, Adele and Simon still have three months from the baby’s birth to register him before they can actually worry about a fine for not doing so.

Adele gave birth in late October and, even though neither she nor her fiancé confirmed the happy news to the press, word of it somehow found its way online.

Shortly after the baby was born, Adele was targeted in a very vicious campaign on social media (Twitter, in particular), which saw her mocked for her weight again, as we also reported at the time.

This is Adele’s first child.
