Singer is determined to look her best for Grammys 2012 appearance, says report

Though she repeatedly said she made music “for the ears, not for the eyes,” British songstress Adele has finally caved in to pressure from all sides and has started a diet to lose weight, claims a recent report.

The first results are already visible, as Adele's fans must know. When she stepped out for the first time after throat surgery, she looked remarkably thinner than before.

The weight loss is not due to post-surgery restrictions, as media reports would have it, claims Radar Online, citing an unnamed but reportedly reliable source.

Adele has simply given in to pressure to lose weight and has started a diet, taking out unhealthy foods from her menu and starting regular workouts.

She's already dropped 25 pounds (about 11.3kg) and she's gunning for more.

“She's finally caved to weight pressure. Adele always swore up and down that she was comfortable in her own skin, but she's only human,” an unnamed spy tells Radar.

Apparently, Adele has decided she wanted to spice up her good girl image a bit.

“And she thinks she'll get even more fashion and acting offers if she shaves off a few pounds,” adds the insider.

“Doctors suggested that less junk food and more exercise would be the all-around right thing – for her health, her stamina, even her vocal range. Adele really wants to wow when she steps out again at the Grammys. And by the look of things, that's definitely going to happen,” says the spy.

Assuming any of this was true would mean Adele has been lying to the media and her fans, which seems unconceivable at this point.

In an April 2011 interview with Rolling Stone, the singer defended her curvy figure saying it was no one's business how she looked because fans, critics and the media were only supposed to pay attention to her music – because that's what she was, a musician.
