Far from taking a 5-year break to focus on her personal life, Adele is actually in the process of recording new music. If that's not good news enough, here's more: a new song will be out by the end of the year.

After her fabulous 2011, which culminated with 6 Grammy wins, Adele seemed to hint in an interview that she planned to take some time off from music.

She later denied having stated this, saying her words had been taken out of context.

In fact, she's working on a new album right now, but fans will have to wait for another 2 years before they hear it, she says in a new interview cited by Us Weekly.

On the bright side, she can promise she will release at least one new track before the end of the current year.

Talking about why she takes so long to come out with a new album, Adele references the 2-year lapse between her previous releases, “19” and “21,” and cites the songwriting process as the main cause.

“I have to take time and live a little bit. It’ll be the same this time. If I didn’t write my own songs, I’d be out next week with a new album,” the British songstress says.

As for whether she feels any pressure for her third material to top “21,” officially one of the biggest albums ever to come out, Adele plays it cool: she knows she can't top that, so there's really no pressure.

“I don’t think I’ll feel the pressure for the next album to be as big as the last one, because I know that’s not really possible. What happened with [21] is very rare anyway,” she says.

Her third album is still a work in progress, but Adele doesn't rule out the possibility of including duets on it.

She'd love to record a track with Beyonce, for whom she has nothing but admiration and respect.

“I adore Beyonce. I’ve been listening to her since I was about 11. I think her work as an artist and a singer is enviable in terms of the length of her career and how she’s grown and grown,” Adele says.
