After three days of gaming

A 30-year-old Chinese man was found dead in an Internet cafe after he played games for approximately 3 days, the reports sustain. According to Reuters, the 'man from the southern boomtown of Guangzhou' died while he was transported to the hospital because he spent three consecutive days in the Internet cafe playing games. Obviously, this matter raises the same Chinese concerns issued some time ago when the local authorities decided to stop the opening of new cafes as numerous Chinese users became addicted to the Internet and to its offerings. According to the same source, the police already decided it was not a suicide 'adding that exhaustion was the most likely cause of death.'

Although the authorities didn't mention the game, this is not the first case when some users die after they played games for a long period of time. In most cases, the addicted consumers were playing World Of Warcraft, a game which recorded huge sales in every corner of the world.

But what's more interesting is that China is a country which tries to prevent this kind of cases but every once in a while, a new person dies and destroys all the previous efforts. Now, there's not much to do unless the consumers are open to talks because the authorities seems to do as much as possible to keep the users informed about the risks of excessive use of computer.

Most of us are already addicted to the Internet because the email, the search engines and the browsing itself are really controlling us. How many of you didn't check their email today or didn't use a search engine in the last few hours? This doesn't look as a serious problem but the numbers are shocking and somehow the Chinese authorities' attempts are explained.
