Report claims Adam Levine will be named People’s Hottest Man Alive for 2013

As these titles go, People’s Hottest Man Alive means very little for the celebrity on who it is bestowed, but a lot for his fans. For 2013, the celebrity publication has decided on The Voice judge and Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine, it has emerged.

A spokesperson for the publication refuses to comment on this yet, but Gossip Cop reports that the big reveal will be made on November 20 and vouches that fans shouldn’t be surprised to find out that Levine takes home the crown.

If you keep track of these things, you probably know that Gossip Cop broke the news of last year’s winner, Channing Tatum, a full week before he was announced. The previous winners were Bradley Cooper in 2011 and Ryan Reynolds in 2010.

Notably absent on the cover of People throughout the years has been Ryan Gosling, considered one of the handsomest, most talented and hottest actors of our times. Each year, his loyal fans raise up in arms and take the Internet by storm to twist editors’ arm into getting him on that cover.

It never happens though and, trust us, it’s not for lack of trying: in 2011, when Cooper earned the title, Gosling fans took to the streets in protest – literally, they staged rallies to show their support for Ryan. Not only did People mag not go back on its choice but it didn’t even bother to consider Gosling for next year, because the title when to Tatum.

This year, Gosling is snubbed once more in favor of Levine though it can’t be argued that Adam doesn’t deserve the title: he’s making good music, he’s a charismatic television personality, he’s even gone into fashion as of late and he also appeared on “American Horror Story.”

His busy 2013 also included preparing for a world tour and, last but not least, getting engaged to model Behati Prinsloo. Of course, Adam is also good looking (incredibly so, depending on who you ask) so yes, it makes sense to get him that People “honor.”
