20-year-old Adam Lanza rigged his mother Nancy's Bushmaster .223 calibre rifle, before the Newtown shooting, reports say. Lanza's motives remain unknown; however, it is believed he attended the school as a child, as we previously informed you.

Lanza opened fire at the local elementary school, killing 20 children and 6 adults. The funerals for the Sandy victims have already begun, and a Facebook page has been created, with the intent of performing 26 Acts of Kindness in their honor.

Investigators have discovered that the shooter taped two cartridge magazines to his weapon, to make the process of flipping between the two faster.

The technique, known as "jungle-taping," according to Connecticut medical examiner Wayne Carver, would have allowed him to fire significantly more shots in a small time frame. Police believe the shooting only lasted for 5 minutes, the Telegraph writes.

Lanza used specific bullets, used in warfare, and referred to by aficionados as "frangible ammunition." They are able to go through deep tissue and shatter on impact. As they cannot be removed, they inflict a large amount of damage.

Tracing his steps, police came up with a more detailed timeline for Friday's events. He shot his mother while she was in bed, in the head, after grabbing her weapons. He then armed himself with at least 30-bullet magazines, according to the number of bullets fired at the scene.

Connecticut governor Dannel Malloy tells reporters that he broke into the school by shooting through a locked door and entered at least 2 classrooms. In one of them, all the students lost their lives, before Lanza pointed the gun at himself, as police arrived.

"There were 14 coats hanging there and 14 bodies. He killed them all," a law enforcement officer says.

The fact that the Sandy Hook shooting was planned could have been concluded from the fact that he deleted his hard drive before leaving home, as our yesterday’s report reveals.

Technicians looking for the gunman's motivation came up empty in their search for browser history records and private conversations. It is believed Lanza may have posted a warning on the 4chan website a few days before, anonymously.
