Rockers say this is a possibility at this point

After sharing the American Idol stage with two of the biggest names in the industry of music, Queen and Kiss respectively, Adam Lamber, runner-up on the popular singing competition, is looking at a future as a permanent replacement for the late Freddie Mercury, News.com informs. Though nothing has yet been set in stone, the rockers from Queen are telling the media that such a collaboration is clearly possible at this point in time.

As fans must know, Lambert and American Idol winner Kris Allen sang with the legendary rockers on the grand finale of the eighth season. Apparently, guitarist Brian May was so impressed with Lambert’s “flair for the dramatic,” as well as his great vocal skills, that they’re seriously considering making their time onstage more than just a one-time thing. Again, as noted above, nothing has yet been determined – what’s clear at this point is that, even if Lambert does not become a fixture with the band, some sort of collaboration is to be expected.

“Amongst all that furor, there wasn’t really a quiet moment to talk.” May is quoted as saying by the aforementioned e-zine. “But [drummer Roger Taylor] and I are definitely hoping to have a meaningful conversation with [Lambert] at some point. It’s not like we, as Queen, would rush into coalescing with another singer just like that. It isn’t that easy. But I’d certainly like to work with Adam. That is one amazing instrument he has there.” the legendary guitarist further explains.

Even if this collaboration does not extend further than doing just a single track, several music-oriented publications are saying, it should be more than enough to calm down Lambert’s fans, who honestly believe he’s been robbed of the first place on American Idol, which should have been rightfully his. As a matter of fact, hours before the winner was announced, Adam was the favorite of the two, enjoying massive support especially online.

After the winner was revealed, Lambert was asked whether he believed his orientation had anything with him coming in second, to which he replied something to this effect, “You know it did.” Be that as it may, it appears that he’s not leaving the show empty-handed or lacking offers and ideas for projects. To see what becomes of this, keep an eye on this space. In the meanwhile, below is the performance Adam Lambert and Kris Allen did with Queen on the American Idol finale.
