Fans hoping to enter the new year on the sound of Adam Lambert’s latest tracks will have to wait until his next performance, because his gig on New Year’s Eve at the Paramount Pictures Studio Lot will not be televised or streamed online. Adam himself made the official announcement via his Twitter, saying he hoped to see fans there in person.

“Unfortunately Gridlocked NYE will NOT be filmed / televised / streamed. It’s a LIVE event only. Hope to see you there!!” Adam tweeted the other day. As one can easily imagine, many fans from around the world hoping to be able to tune in for the performance were left somehow disappointed by the announcement but, then again, it’s not like the singer could have done anything about the decision.

The event, reports in the media say, will be hosted by former “Baywatch” bombshell Pamela Anderson, and will also include a support performance from Kevin Rudolf and other artists whose names have not yet been made public. Also unknown is Lambert’s setlist for the night or the exact hour of the performance. However, more on how the gig was should emerge in the first days of the new year. Fans can also hope for some videos, which other fans might upload online after the show.

Last time Adam spoke to the media about his very successful music career so far was just before Christmas, when MTV caught up with him to speak of the artists that influenced and shaped his 2009, as we also reported. While it was not much of a surprise to hear him name Lady Gaga his woman of the year, Adam also spoke about the albums and tracks released in 2009 that he liked best.

Gaga’s “Bad Romance” is Adam’s choice for song of the year, but Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody,” Pink’s “Sober” and Ke$ha’s “Tik Tok” also came close in the same category. “I do love Lady Gaga, it’s no secret. Everyone knows that I get all obsessed over her,” Adam said of the songstress. He and Gaga have even worked together, as fans must know, on “Fever,” included on his debut material, “For Your Entertainment.”
