When the last season of American Idol came to an end, many believed Adam Lambert should have won. Many still do believe he was somewhat robbed of the title that should have rightfully been his. Be that as it may, Lambert’s popularity is soaring – and the number of items he sold for Rolling Stone, the issue in which he came out, stands as proof for that, Extra says.

According to the source, the issue that featured “Wild Idol” Lambert on the cover and then the lengthy interview in which Adam was speaking publicly for the first time about his preferences and gave more details about his personal life, is Rolling Stone’s top selling issue this year. Moreover, judging by the many interviews the singer gave since then to the same media outlet, one might easily infer a bond has been forged, since the mag has become the unofficial “official” channel for most updates on Adam’s upcoming album.

Speaking of which, just yesterday, Adam was talking to Rolling Stone on how much he’s grown since Idol came to an end, especially by getting to meet his many fans in the US thanks to the Idol tour that is currently underway. Getting to feel the pulse of the crowd has helped him grow as an artist and as a performer, because he has come to understand that this is what his music should be all about: the fans and the audiences. Because of this, Adam was saying, he was more than eager to come out with the new album, of which he promised it would be “full of suprises.”

“We did a surprising amount of work before the tour started, we had about a month. I got a lot of co-writing done, some great initial vocal material recorded, and just general collaborations with different producers. […] Just clap and scream and have a good time. It’s not about you guys getting my attention, it’s about you living your life in a positive way. When you dance and move around it creates a different reaction from the audience – they love it. And getting a sense of interaction with them, I love that.” Adam was saying of the recent weeks and his work.

Adam Lambert’s debut album comes out in music stores in November this year. For more on this, keep an eye on this space.

Just wondering. When ADAM's CD comes out in November, is that only in US? Or is it available worldwide? If not, how can we buy his CD outside of US? Thanks to anyone who can give us fans here in Asia the answer. We are eager to buy as soon as possible. Thanks again.

Thank you for the post on Adam, LOVE him! My family bought two of the Rolling Stone issues, never bought one before and will be back to buy more if RS does another cover of Adam. Once you hear him and see him, saw him in Arizona, you can not get enough. Can hardly wait for his solo tour, will go anywhere to see him live, especially for longer than the 20 minutes he now has on the tour. Looking forward to his album, need more Adam music soon!!!!!

I find it hard to believe more magazine haven't pickup spreads on Adam. So many love him and a large number of us consider him gorgeous and super sexy. His voice is the catylst - but he is the whole package. Hopefully more will put him on the cover so we can buy all their magazines, maybe closer to the fall when him CD comes out - Can't Wait!!

Evita,

Adam has said that their intention is to release his CD world-wide. So that means you, too! Obviously, RCA is aware of the amount of attention Adam has gotten around the world, the blogs, fan clubs, etc., and they want to cash in. I myself sent a copy of Rolling Stone to Singapore and Great Britain, to fans who could not get copies.

to Janis: In response to ur post about getting Adam on more covers. My thought is that the industry is really interested in more spreads on Adam. But that Adam's agent is being careful of over-exposure. It's the kiss of death & can ruin a new star's momentum. It's smarter to make a precious commodity rare so u get maximum value. Like diamonds. Besides, basic interviews are simplier than also doing photo shoots which can take a day or two. Think of the wardrobe choices lol. The ultimate fun for Adam. Adam's trying to put out an album on a deadline so I'm sure his downtime is rare. In the future, once his CD is out, I bet we will see alot more of him on covers.
