14 DAY TRIAL // American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has one of the most loyal fanbases ever, a thing demonstrated not only by his ever-increasing popularity, but also based on how well tickets for the Idol Live series of shows have sold so far. It’s to these fans that the singer is now appealing in a new video of DonorsChoose.org, urging them to donate money to children in high-need public schools, so that they can have the materials needed for their projects.
“My fans have been so amazing in their support that I would love for them to contribute to something I believe in. Every kid deserves a great education and access to the materials and experiences that make it possible. I’m so thrilled to team up with DonorsChoose.org and encourage my fans to support arts and music projects in classrooms.” Lambert addresses fans in the video shot right after one of his concerts, as his makeup shows.
Since Adam joined the cause, his fans have contributed with approximately $40,000 in cash, reports in the US media indicate. However, his involvement in the project does not stop here, as the American Idol veteran will also see that he personally delivers some of the supplies to classrooms chosen at random. His top 10 fan groups that record the biggest donations will also be rewarded with autographed photos and online chat sessions with none other than Adam himself, so there is something to be won for everybody.
