Adam Lambert was the torn rock’n’roll star / lover in his latest video, “Whataya Want from Me,” which was released in mid-January this year. Fans of the former American Idol contestant who’ve been going through withdrawals since then have reason to rejoice, for as we speak, Adam is preparing to start shooting for a new video – his fourth to date, as Examiner can confirm.

Next month will probably mark the release of another single from Adam’s debut album, the best-selling “For Your Entertainment.” In order to promote it, he will also be shooting a video at about the same time, though specifics on that are not available for now. Still, knowing his penchant for doing things his own unique way, fans will undoubtedly be pleasantly surprised, which means this upcoming video stands good chances of becoming a hit like “Whataya Want from Me,” as the aforementioned publication also puts it.

“Those of us looking to hear more information about Adam Lambert’s next music video won’t have to wait any longer. The American Idol runner-up said during a Ustream chat early Friday that he will be shooting the video for ‘If I Had You’ at some point next month. ‘If I Had You’ will be the fourth music video shot by the singer, following ‘For Your Entertainment,’ ‘Whataya Want from Me,’ and ‘Time For Miracles’ from the movie ‘2012.’ It’s too early to tell what exactly the content of the video will be, but we can probably expect it to mirror the fun, fast-paced nature of the song,” the Examiner writes.

In a recent interview with MTV, Adam reveled he’d been catching up with Lady Gaga, with whom he worked on “FYE” and has remained friends. The AI star said it was an honor to be called the male version of Gaga, adding that the comparison was not that far fetched since they both had similar backgrounds and styles. This, in turn, has prompted speculation with fans, many of which would like to see from Adam next a video as controversial (and, of course, popular) as Gaga’s latest, for “Telephone.”

“We had a couple of whiskies and traded stories about life and music in the studio and, in some ways, we are cut from a similar cloth. She did theatre for a while, too, and she got into the club kid scene in New York and I did in LA. We had a similar experience and it’s a compliment to be dubbed the male version of her,” Adam said in the interview. As for how the “If I Had You” video turns out, keep an eye on this space.
