Three years ago, Adam Lambert was one of the two finalists on American Idol. As Ryan Seacrest put it the other night, he didn't win – but he might as well have, considering how famous the show made him. The other night on the results show, Adam returned to the proverbial scene of the crime to perform his latest single, “
Never Close Our Eyes,” off the “Trespassing” album, which dropped earlier this week.

Fans will remember that one of the things that made Adam such a hit on Idol was his propensity for the so-called vocal mountain climbing – just watch him take on the highest peaks with “Never Close Our Eyes.”
