On Monday, February 15, fans of American Idol alum Adam Lambert could catch the singer live in an intimate show that took place at the PC Richard & Son Theater in New York City, courtesy of iHeartRadio, as we were also telling you the other week. Sometime during the show, an unidentified woman was talking on her phone so loudly that Adam himself cut his gig short to admonish her, as TMZ can confirm.

As the video at the end of this article also shows, Adam didn’t call out the girl in question for his own sake, but rather because she was making it hard for other fans as well to follow the live show. He also kept it very polite – yet also very determined –, telling her that she was being rude and that she was practically yelling on her phone. He then went back and picked up the song from where he had left it, apologizing for the interruption.

“Adam Lambert put one of his own fans on blast yesterday – in the middle of a live performance – after the rude fan was caught yapping away on her phone while the American Idol alum was trying to sing. It all went down while Adam was performing a song for iHeartRadio in New York when Adam heard the girl talking, stopped mid-song and said, ‘Can you get off your phone?! You’re yelling into it... wait, sorry, we’re going to start over.’ Lambert then continued to go after the fan saying, ‘Really?! Dominoes... we deliver!’ He continued, ‘You’re not watching TV, honey... it’s a live show’,” TMZ says of Adam’s way of calling out the rude fan.

The interruption happened during a live rendition of “Waddya Want from Me,” Adam’s second single off his debut album, the aptly named “For Your Entertainment,” which debuted later last year and went on to become the second best selling album of 2009, immediately after Susan Boyle’s “I Dreamed a Dream.” The show was made possible, as noted above and on a previous occasion, thanks to iHeartaRadio, which held a special contest for all Adam Lambert fans interested in seeing their idol perform live.

“Simply upload a photo of yourself glammed out (think: cool make-up, hair or outfit!) or by visiting our Facebook Fan Page. This show is by invite only, so enter now! Please Note: Transportation is NOT included,” the original announcement read. Those who were not there for the live show can see Adam Lambert teaching a very rude fan some manners in the video below.
