Over the weekend, Adam Lambert surprised fans from Canada in concert by belting out one of the tracks he recorded for his sophomore album, in what was an international premiere. Called “Outlaws of Love,” it’s a power ballad.

Ever since he put out “For Your Entertainment,” which turned out to be a smashing hit with audiences and the critics alike, Adam has been keeping busy.

He’s been working on his second album, which will probably be out in 2012 and proof that things are progressing well is “Outlaws of Love.”

On stage at Le Festival Ste-Agathe en Feux in Quebec, Adam broke the wonderful news to fans: he would be singing a new song, one that would also be found on the new album.

Of course, he knew the song would end up on YouTube – which it did – but he did not mean as a reproach to fans.

“As you probably know, I have been working for the past couple of months. This is a song that will be on the new album. This is the world premiere,” Adam told the screaming crowd.

“All of the things I’ve been talking about over the past year, all of it boils down to acceptance and this is a song that I wrote about how it feels, that no matter where you go or where you turn, sometimes it feels like you’re just running from the law,” Adam added.

Adam, who is openly gay, has been incredibly involved in various awareness campaigns, including “It Gets Better,” so it’s not really that much of a surprise that he wrote a song about acceptance.

It’s bound to become the new gay power anthem, word in the blogosphere has it, especially given its touching words, like, “They say we’ll rot in hell, but I don’t think we will/ They’ve branded us enough, outlaws of love.”

Check it out below and, of course, enjoy.
