Kanye West put his foot in it at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards when, presumably from too much Hennessy he had ingested before the awards ceremony, he stumbled on the stage and interrupted Taylor Swift who was giving her acceptance speech for Best Female Video award. Celebrities are already speaking out against him, with Adam Lambert, Pink and Katy Perry all taking to their Twitter page to do so.

“Kanye needs to chill. He freaks out every year. It ain’t that deep man.” this season’s American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert writes on his Twitter page. Suffice it to say, he is the most delicate about the matter, as Katy Perry and Pink spare no foul word to describe what Kanye West did to the young Taylor Swift – as a side note, this was Swift’s first time at the VMAs and her first win; she is also young and hard-working so Kanye should have let her enjoy her moment, it is being said.

“[Expletive] U Kanye. It’s like u stepped on a kitten.” Katy wrote while still at the awards ceremony, comparing the always soft-spoken and delicate Taylor to the kitten Kanye crushed at the VMAs. Katy Perry was also one of the nominees for the Best Female Video category. Pink, yet another nominee, was equally scathing, Tweeting during the VMAs. “Kanye West is the biggest piece of [expletive] on earth. Quote me. My heart goes out to Taylor Swift. She is a sweet and talented girl and deserved her moment. She should know we all love her. Beyonce is a classy lady. I feel for her, too. It’s not her fault at all, and her and Taylor did their thing. And douche bag got kicked out.” Pink wrote.

Other celebrities were equally upset about the way Kanye acted on stage. “WOW Taylor Swift’s first VMA and she didn’t even get to ENJOY it. Kanye You were just a bully on that one man.” Joel Madden wrote. Ricky Martin, on the other hand, did not spare Kanye’s feelings: “kanye what an [expletive] dude. @taylorswift13 has sold more than 10 million cds in the last 2 years u deserve the award 10 million fans cant be wrong. enjoy ur night!”

As we also reported a few hours ago, Kelly Clarkson lashed out at the inconsiderate and completely rude gesture, calling Kanye “a sad human being” that deserves our pity, if anything at all. Kanye has apologized for the rant, where he took Taylor’s microphone to tell the audience that the winner should have been Beyonce, but he still maintained that he was right.
