American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert has a very busy month ahead of him, MTV points out. He’s just released his first single off the debut album and is now preparing for the release of the album itself. However, that’s not all that Lambert has been doing musically in recent months, as the singer also contributed with a track to the score of “2012,” in US theaters nationwide on November 13.

“Time for Miracles” is a very powerful rock ballad, the kind that Aerosmith also had with their “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” music critics agree. Ever since it was released, it has gotten nothing but positive reviews, with fans and music insiders saying that they believed Adam to truly be the next rock star of our times. This – and so much more – has not failed to move and impress the singer, who says he’s more than grateful he was given this wonderful chance in the first place.

MTV caught up with him at the Los Angeles premiere of “2012.” “I really feel honored that they came to me and asked me. I think it’s obviously a risk on their part because this was before any sort of album had been completed or hardly even started. So for them to ask me, it shows faith. It really made me feel good and gave me a lot of confidence,” he said of how he felt as regards the chance producers of the movie took on him.

And confidence Adam certainly doesn’t lack, as the video for “Time for Miracles” also clearly shows. “Late last month, the video premiered for the song. In it, Lambert makes his way through an apocalyptic world while mugging for the camera and belting out the show-stopping tune. […] Lambert dons his best Goth clothes and anguished face in the video as he makes his way through disaster scene after disaster scene, as everyone around him flees falling buildings and debris raining down from a fiery sky. Despite the fact that the world is coming to an end around him, Lambert looks triumphantly straight into the camera and sings about not giving up on a lost love,” MTV further says.

“For Your Entertainment” arrives in stores on November 23.
