Adam Lambert sets the record straight on recent arrest, says he didn't hit boyfriend Sauli Koskinen

Adam Lambert was arrested in Finland yesterday, after getting into a very vocal and, as per reports, allegedly physical argument with his longtime boyfriend Sauli Koskinen. He's already explained the whole incident on Twitter.

News of the arrest broke on Perez Hilton's blog but, since he's not the most reliable source out there, few chose to believe him word for word.

Shortly after he was released and slept off the intoxication of the previous night, Adam himself made sure he set the record straight, by taking to his Twitter to explain everything.

He did, indeed, get into a fight with Sauli but, contrary to reports in the press, he didn't punch him and he didn't “attack” passers-by who tried to intervene to keep the two apart.

Adam says on Twitter, in more or less these words, that he got drunk and got into a fight with Sauli. It got pretty loud very fast, but there was never more to it.

That is to say, neither got physical with the other.

“Jetlag+Vodka=blackout. Us÷blackout=irrational confusion. jail+guilt+press=lesson learned. Sauli+Adam+hangover burgers= laughing bout it. :)” Adam wrote on his Twitter page shortly after he was released from jail.

As for those media outlets who are asking whether domestic violence should be turned into a joke in his case because it's two gay guys and not a man and a woman, Adam insists the fight was just verbal.

“Violence is not to be taken lightly. Embarrassed by drunkenness. No punches thrown, no injuries and no charges. Media always exaggerates,” the singer says.

As we also informed you yesterday, word online had it that Adam punched or hit Sauli after they were kicked out of a club and they continued fighting in the street.

When others tried to cut in to make them listen to reason, Adam hit them too, it was said.

All speculation aside, both Adam and Sauli were taken to jail for a few hours for the incident. Police said no charges would be filed because no one was injured.

As it turns out, this was a minor incident that got blown out of proportion.

“Publicity is not easy, but also celebrities are just human. Love is not easy either, but it lasts forever!” Sauli also wrote on his blog.
