Adam Lambert's first appearance on "Glee" started a fan frenzy online, with some of the highest words of praise Twitter has ever seen. Terms like “perfection,” “fabulous,” “ridiculously awesome,” and more were all used to describe Adam's “Mary the Night” by Lady Gaga performance.

Adam's character, Elliot “Starchild” Gilbert shows up to Kurt's band audition wearing a black dramatic costume and makeup, trying to make an impact with his performance of Lady Gaga's song.

“He goes into this audition and he gives them everything he has […] he wears this obnoxious costume […] and I think he’s just a dreamer and he gets up there and Kurt gets a bit threatened and says, 'It’s not for me',” Adam says in an interview with Ryan Seacrest.

While commenting on his performance in "Glee," Adam reveals that he auditioned for a part in the musical series before American Idol and that, even though the casting director loved his voice, he was rejected. But now, Adam got the chance to finally see himself as part of the hit Fox series.

Lambert's appearance on the episode “A Katy or a Gaga” marks the return of the show after Cory Monthein's farewell in the season premiere. The new episode revolves around a challenge between Lady Gaga and Katy Perry supporters. While preparing for the Nationals, New Directions members are trying to decide who's the most influential pop queen and in what direction to go, either artistic or commercial.

Adam relates with the character he's playing, admitting that they are both dreamers who give all they have in order to leave a mark. As an overall impression after the episode, Adam says that he had an amazing time, “I’ve had such a good time with everybody. The cast, they’re a big family and they’re super tight-knit and have a bunch of inside jokes, but they welcomed me with open arms.”

Besides acting on “Glee,” Adam recently had a successful collaboration with Avicii on their new song “Lay Me Down” and shared a few overseas performance with Queen. You can take a look at a short introduction to Adam on “Glee” in the video below.
