Today, AdDuplex released yet another report to show the evolution of Microsoft’s Windows Phone operating system on its network, unveiling that Nokia is currently accounting for 88.4 percent of the overall Windows Phone 8 shipments out there.

Compared with the last month, Nokia’s share in the WP8 segment went up by 1.5 percentage points, leaving vendors such as HTC, Samsung, and Huawei further behind.

At the moment, HTC accounts for 8.5 percent of Windows Phone 8 devices out there, Samsung for 1.9 percent of them, and Huawei for only 1.2 percent.

Among handsets, Nokia’s Lumia 520 appears to be the uncontested leader at the moment, with an overall market share of 21.3 percent when all Windows Phone devices are taken into consideration.

In the Windows Phone 8 segment, the smartphone enjoys a 31.6 percent market share, far ahead of Lumia 920, which comes in second with 13.8 percent. Lumia 620 is third on the list, with 13.6 percent share.

“Nokia Lumia 520 continues cementing its domination. It crossed the 20% mark overall and 30% if we only count the Windows Phone 8 devices. But other than that there are no notable changes in the top 10,” AdDuplex notes in a blog post.

The latest smartphones from Nokia aren’t performing great at the moment, as Lumia 925 is placed 16 on the charts at the moment, Lumia 625 is no. 20, while Lumia 1020 landed only on the 28th spot.

Overall, Windows Phone 8 continues to grow when compared to Windows Phone 7, and is currently loaded on 67 percent of WP devices out there.

As for the various versions of Windows Phone 8, GDR1 has the lead with a 67.7 percent share, followed by GDR2 with 30.6 percent, and the original Windows Phone 8.0 OS flavor, with only 1.7 percent share.

With Windows Phone 8 GRD2 currently rolling out to devices out there, it might not be too long before this chart changes. However, it appears that there are carriers that still have to approve and release the update, AdDuplex notes.
