AdBlock Plus is the most popular Firefox add-on and it's easy to see why. It's great at what it does, block ads, but it's a top-notch add-on by any standard. Recently, it made its way to Google Chrome, after years of users asking for it.

There are plenty of other ad-blockers for Chrome, but AdBlock is still probably the best and the most comprehensive.

More recently, the project has been starting to pick up steam and there's now an entire startup working on AdBlock plus. What this means is that the add-on will soon be landing on a lot of other browsers and platforms.

There's an Android version coming very soon, an app for Android which will block ads no matter what mobile browser you use.

But that's not all, if you're not a Firefox or Chrome user, you'll be glad to hear that AdBlock Plus is coming to Internet Explorer, Safari and Opera, all of the major browsers, hopefully by the end of the year.
