14 DAY TRIAL // Lavasoft rolled out a fresh update for its Ad-Aware product line (Free, Personal, Pro, and Total Security). Version 11.1 brings to the table better support for Windows 8.1, improvements to major components, and a new tool for password management.
The developer announced that the firewall and anti-spam engines received some modifications for increased performance and usability. The firewall rules have been simplified and the interface improved.
Ad-Aware 11.1 integrates PasswordBox, a utility designed to offer an easy way to store and manage your passwords that has versions for Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android.
Additional improvements available in the current release touch on the interface of App Management and Web Protection, built-in re-registration service for free users, and a better notification system. There is also support for new languages (Armenian, Bahasa, Indonesia, Belarusian, Croatian, Japanese, Serbian Latin, and Serbian Cyrillic).
