It seems that motion capture and voice work for Metal Gear Solid 5 is already taking place at Kojima Productions, even if the video games has not been yet officially unveiled by the developer or by publisher Konami.

Eric Bossic, who is a voice actor who has also worked on Silent Hill 4, has stated, “My past motion capture session was for an upcoming Metal Gear game, I will be back with Kojima again in the fall, and maybe other sessions. This title is a long way off.”

He then added when asked directly that, “I am working on a future Metal Gear, not to be released until next year summer at the earliest, if not later then that. Im doing motion capture only.”

Apparently, the voice of Eric Bossic will not be involved in the project in any way and he doesn’t even know the official name of the game he is working on.

The actor also says that he will be unable to give out any information about the game before it is officially announced.

At the moment the only Metal Gear game that is being developed is the Rising: Revengeance spin-off, which is being created by Platinum Games under the guidance of Kojima Productions.

It will star Raiden and will take place sometime after Metal Gear Solid 4 with a bigger focus on action and blade-based battles rather than on stealth.

The game will be launched on the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 during February 2013.

Hideo Kojima, the creator of the franchise, has also promised that a fifth core Metal Gear Solid game will be created, delivering the stealth gameplay that the series is known for.

He did not offer any information on the game and has not confirmed whether it will be linked to the next console generation from Sony and Microsoft.
