14 DAY TRIAL // Video game publisher Activision officially announces that they are naming the Walking Dead title they are working on “Survival Instinct.”
The new game will use first-person shooter mechanics and will be based on the comic book that also spawned the series from Telltale Games and the television series that has been a hit for AMC.
Activision hasn’t offered much information on the game, other than it would star both Merle and Daryl Dixon.
Apparently, the undead in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will react to the movement, sight and even smell of the human character, creating a new level of tension for a zombie game.
The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct will be launched on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the PC at some point during 2013.
The Walking Dead episodic game from Telltale Games, which has been widely praised by the gaming community for how well it delivers the same atmosphere as the comic book, is also getting a full retail package in December.
