Video game publisher Activision Blizzard has announced that it will be launching a new game bearing the Cabela label, targeted at all those players who are interested in simulating a summer camp that goes beyond what's possible in the real world when it comes to activities.

The camp games included in the game will include the likes of: Thrill Hill Biking, Wild River Kayaking and Full Throttle Wave Riding and Activision will reveal more closer to the launch date.

A system called Interactive Griefing will allow players to interact with each other and interfere with their competitive activities by knocking down trees and creating obstacles out of large rocks.

It's not clear whether Cabela's Adventure Camp will also include less competitive camp activities like roasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire.

The game can be played using the Kinect motion tracking system for the Xbox 360 home console from Microsoft, which does not require a controller, the Move system for the PlayStation 3 and the Wiimote for the Nintendo Wii.

David Oxford, who is an executive vice president at Activision Publishing, stated when the game was announced that, “We are thrilled to bring the fun and enjoyment of the outdoors to living rooms around the country as parents share the love of these traditionally outdoor activities with their kid. We are excited to offer a family bonding experience in this motion-oriented, active participation, social gathering title!”

Cabela’s Adventure Camp is set to be launched on November 1 of this year.

Activision has been lately accused of relying too much on major franchises like Call of Duty and on the Blizzard made World of Warcraft MMO for its revenue and launching games like Cabela's Adventure Camp shows an interest in offering a more diverse array of experience that target a larger group of gamers.
