GoPro cameras are widely used to capture video footage from various extreme and action sports that otherwise could not be recorded. The cameras are very small and can be easily attached to helmets, snowboards, skateboards etc., to catch the action from an entirely new perspective.

Unfortunately, GoPro cameras have a fixed field of view and cannot get everything that happens around you. The Pano Pro team, known for their 360 adapters that can make any lens capture 360° footage, decided to come with another innovation that allows you to grab constant all-round action.

The actioncam360 can be attached to any GoPro action camera or similar, giving you the freedom to capture 360° video with a single camera. The software that comes in the package will allow you to make a fully interactive 360° video, which you can pan around during playback.

Actioncam360 unit is made up of 3 parts that can be changed at any time if needed. The housing will hold the GoPro camera and comes with a secondary “correcting” lens as well as a circular viewing restrictor / anti reflection cowl.

The clear tube that houses the mirror is made from the highest quality acrylic and is designed to offer the best optical clarity possible.

The Pano Pro team have already made a prototype that fits the GoPro HERO 2 camera and are planning to release a model compatible with the latest GoPro HERO 3 Black camera that will feature an even smaller lens.

If you want to get your own actioncam360 or just support this amazing project, you can head to the Kickstarter page, and for £200 / €238 / $322 you can get the early bird actioncam360 compatible with the GoPro HERO 2, while the GoPro HERO 3 model can be yours if you pledge £225 / €268 / $363 or more.
