14 DAY TRIAL // The current hotfix released by Acronis for True Image Home 2012 package does not mend backup and restore issues. It addresses a much simpler, but greatly annoying problem, witnessed by paying customers only, as it refers to activation difficulties.
In plenty of cases, the 25-symbol serial numbers would not be accepted if you opened the form in the Help menu.
The same problem would occur when you tried to punch it in from the notification strip at the bottom of the main application window. This becomes pretty darn annoying when you try to register and activate the program each time you launch it.
On the same note, the 2012 edition of Acronis True Image would remain in trial version if you tried to activate it with an upgrade serial number.
The hotfix is available for English US, English UK, German and French versions and can be downloaded from here. It is designed for Acronis True Image Home 2012 6131 and should not be applied to earlier builds.
